Sea Battle: what it is and how to play
Sea Battle is the classic hunt for your rival fleet on a 10x10 grid. Each side has 10 ships: one of four cells, two of three, three of two and four single ships. Before your first shot you may shuffle your placement. Every hit earns you an extra shot.
Game modes
Online: press “Play online” and the game matches you with a player of similar rating; results feed the world and country rankings. Versus bot: several difficulty levels, handy for practice. With a friend: take turns on one phone or play by invitation. Sea Battle is free and runs in your browser without installing anything.
Tips for beginners
After a hit, probe the neighbouring cells until the ship sinks. Early on, shoot in a chequerboard pattern to find the large ships faster.
